Whatcom is a county-wide public transportation agency with five facilities and 60 full time buses. Talking about their decision to deploy Xirrus equipment, Geoff MacCombe, Network and Infrastructure Administrator at Whatcom Transportation Authority said, “A generic wireless access point was not going to handle the traffic.
